You'd love to book some family photos but you're worried about what you'd wear and suddenly feel self conscious about your wardrobe attire? Or you've got some 'maybe' choices for every family member but you're not sure how to bring it all together?
Well panic over! I have created my family prep guide to help avoid fashion disasters and all the stress that can come with it! My simple, easy to follow prep guide is jam-packed with tips and tricks; whether you've booked an 'Outdoor Family session' or one of my 'Newborn at Home' shoots. From how to style you and your family comfortably, to how to prepare your kids for your upcoming shoot and what to expect before, during and after your session.

Once your session is booked with me, I will send you a copy of your very own Family Prep Guide to look over! To get you started.................
What do you recommend we wear?
Although I go into lots more detail in my prep guide, I would start with outfits that COMPLIMENT each other, not matching! Stick with similar tones and colours; neutral tones are a good starting point and always work well as they allow you to work with selecting one bolder colour to work with.
What do you recommend avoiding?
Avoiding logos and text on t-shirts is one of the main ones I'd say! Not only can they be distracting but logos often become outdated on timeless photographs. I'd also try to avoid lots of busy patterns as too many patterned outfits can clash and be distracting. Instead, opt for one floral dress and other more neutral outfits to compliment it.
Accessories: yes or no?
Accessories can be a great way to build outfits and add that extra touch. Whether it's a knitted cardigan, jacket, scarf or hat, these can all bring an outfit together nicely. I would choose one main accessory to avoid over accessorising and avoid caps as I don't want beautiful expressions during your shoot blocked by a baseball cap! Wellies can be great for splashing in those puddles! (Yes adults, I'm talking to you too!)

What happens if it rains the day of our photoshoot?
Dig out your wellies and prepare to find some puddles! Only joking (well half joking!). I'm definitely one for embracing showers and drizzle, and wellies and brollies can make for some great props! However, if we're talking torrential downpour and lightening then there's definitely flexibility to rearrange to another day! As we do live in Cornwall it's pretty much a given to expect every weather condition under the sun in a three hour period! So given this, I generally look out the window the morning of your photoshoot, instead of panicking the night before!
I've seen you may have a client wardrobe?
You have seen correct! I have an ever-growing selection of clothing that you're more than welcome to borrow and wear for your photoshoot. Clothing is washed and ironed before each photoshoot so no need to worry! So if you're excited for some gorgeous family photos and have taken all my suggestions on board but you're still struggling to find the right outfits, then taking a look at my client wardrobe may help! If I don't quite have the right selection or size for you, then I can provide a selection of go-to websites that have a great range of fabulous outfits!
These are just some of the options I currently have in my client wardrobe!
